This production of Animal Farm is based on the 1984 theatrical adaptation of the book by George Orwell. This was a highly ambitious production, achieved within a much shorter time-scale than we were normally given. The stage was designed to suggest the layout of the House of Commons, with multiple narrower elevated platforms as rows of seating. These housed the various parties of livestock to debate each other throughout the show.
Tech and Equipment
This was the most technically demanding production at the college to date, with hundreds of sound, lighting and video cues all coordinated with a small team of enthusiastic and reliable students. Featuring multiple Kabuki Drops, an ascending/descending windmill rope pulley system, interactive video projection, and multiple manually controlled ice fogger machines!
