This performance is extensively based around the cyr wheel, both in terms of dancing and audio. The soundtrack for this piece is performed live using instrumental samples of the wheel itself, including installing a piezo pickup inside a piece of the wheel and using it as percussion.
Equipment
Yamaha QL1 front of house sound desk. 12 D&B speakers configured for performances in the round rigged on a central circle truss. Three DI boxes needed for stereo DAW instrumental performance and piezo pickup, routed via USB recording interface.
