Chevalier: Hobbyhorse Circus is "an irresistibly charming homage to the magnificent horses of circus and the silent movie era". Finnish performer Kalle Lehto plays the ringmaster alongside his cast of vintage hobby horses, incorporating elements of highly precise juggling, acrobatics and slapstick. The show also features short vignettes of Kalle's adventures around his hometown set to an original score.
Equipment
QLab on-stage behind screen controlled by the performer, using short-throw projector for video. Audio from QLab connected to Rio stagebox via stereo DI, sent to Front of House Yamaha CL1 via Dante.
Lighting programmed on ETC Eos Ion Classic. Submaster-controlled lighting props on-stage incorporated the operator into some slapstick portions of the show.
