The Little Match Girl

Credits:

This production of The Little Match Girl is an adaptation of various stageplays and musicals based on the original story written in 1845 by Hans Christian Andersen. It was carefully crafted around this very young cast aged between 5 and 8 years old.

The set is designed to suggest a traditional nativity scene on a modern postcard.

Equipment

The whole stage was ambient/boundary mic'ed instead of cast being individually mic'ed. Used RF packs and lapels hidden in various locations throughout the stage, with choir mics concealed behind stage left and stage right drapes.

Almost every set-piece in the show incorporated an on-stage dimmer fixture, including the street lamp, the pine tree, the brazier, the star cloth, and the final angelic glow.
